If you are using an Apple device and are having certificate-related issues (i.e. "Cannot verify server identity."), please follow the troubleshooting steps at the end of this guide.


Step 1

Go to Settings > Mail > Accounts > Add Account.

            iOS 11 users will need to visit Settings > Accounts & Passwords


Select account type 
"Other"


Step 2

Enter the name that will appear when you send an email, your email address, password, and a description for your account



Choose IMAP your new account.


Enter the information for Incoming Mail Server and Outgoing Mail Server. You should have recieved this information from MyWork when creating your email address. If not, please create a support ticket requesting that information


Your details will be:


Incoming mail settings

Hostname: mail4 or mail5.mywork.com.au:

Username: your full email address

Password: for the email account


Outgoing mail settings 

Hostname: mail4 or mail5.mywork.com.au

Username: your full email address

Password: for the email account


If you recieve any errors, doublecheck that your email address and password are correct




Step 3

When your account has been added on your iOS device, go back into Settings > Mail > New Email account

Ensure the below settings are all correct


In Advanced settings:


Hostname: mail4 or mail5.mywork.com.au

Username: your email 

Server port: 993

SSL: On


Go back to your mail account

Tap SMTP/outgoing mail settings > Tap the primary server (mail4 or mail5)


Hostname: mail4 or mail5.mywork.com.au

Username: your email 

Server port: 465

SSL: On





Step 4

After your account has finished verifying, tap Save.

You should now be able to access your mailbox from the Mail app. 


Troubleshooting

"Cannot verify server identity."


If you have previously set up a mail account on one of our servers and you are receiving an error saying "Cannot verify server identity", please follow the screenshots below to ensure all of your incoming and outgoing mail server settings are correct. Please note that the below example uses mail5.mywork.com.au. Your mail server will either be this, or mail4.mywork.com.au.
