For custom website builds, MyWork is switching to Elementor as our page builder of choice. If your website is using Elementor, you will see an "Elementor" menu item when logged in to your WordPress admin area.

Please note that not all options will be covered, as many are not relevant and should not be changed.

Elementor - Settings - General

Ensure that both "Posts" and "Pages" are enabled, the rest of the settings here should be disabled. Click "Save Changes".

Elementor - Tools - Maintenance Mode

Elementor allows you to enable "Maintenance Mode", which is useful for if you would like your website to be inaccessible to the general public for a short period of time (for example, if you need to make an urgent or major change to your website).

Select "Maintenance Mode", then choose a page template to display to website visitors. If you have not created one yet, click the blue "create one" button to be taken to the template creation page. Add a title to the template and click "Publish", then you will be taken to the Elementor page builder.

Elementor - Getting Started

This is a useful menu item, as you will be shown a "Getting Started" video as well as a link to "Get The Full Guide", which takes you to more video guides.
